MOSCOW, December 10, 2007 Within the framework of the

project, Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents information on what companies Russians consider to be the best employers and what company that would choose to work for if they were offered a vacancy there."Gazprom" received the first place in the rating. Nearly half of respondents (44%) mentioned the holding among the most desired places of work, and 38% of respondents awarded the company with the best employer status.
Chosen by 23% of respondents, "Rosneft" and "Lukoil" occupied the second place when judged by the priority for potential employees. Taking the future career opportunities in the bank sector into consideration, respondents named Savings Bank (22%), as well as Vneshtorgbank (13%). 15% would be happy to work for RAO „EES". 12% of respondents would like to be employed by JSC „Russian Railroads", 9% by Aeroflot. "Norilsk Nickel" appeared attractive to 8% of respondents in terms of employment. 4-6% of respondents for each company mentioned "AutoVAZ" and the company of cellular communication "Beeline Vimpelcom" and MTS. The insurance companies do not belong to the group of promising places of employment, as the respondents identify: no more than 4% of respondents would like to work for "Rosgosstrakh". Food-processing industry is not commonly referred to as the most interesting way of employment either: only 2% have chosen an enterprise of this branch, that being "Wimm-Bill-Dann". Just as many respondents stated that they would choose "Evrazholding" and "Rusal" as a possible place of employment.
Savings Bank (23%) occupies the second place in the rating of the best employers only preceded by "Gazprom", at the same time Vneshtorgbank, being another establishment of the bank sector, was only mentioned by 12%. 22% chose "Rosneft", 19% "Lukoil". 15% of respondents assume JSC „Russian Railroads" to be the best employer.
13% of respondents chose RAO „Unified energy systems of Russia", 8% Norilsk Nickel, 5% Aeroflot. 3-4% of respondents for each company mentioned MTS, AutoVAZ and Beeline Vimpelcom.
The all-Russia opinion poll was conducted by VCIOM on November 24-25, 2007. 1600 respondents were interviewed in 153 population areas of 46 regions of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.
