Results of our studies

Moscow, February 26, 2008 Facing the presidential elections, Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents information concerning how the exit poll at the presidential elections on March 2 is going to be carried out.

The exit poll will be carried out on March 2 at 1 000 polling districts in 62 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. At exits from polling stations, two interviewers will address the persons that have just voted with a question as to who they have just given their vote, they will also write down the respondent's age and sex; the second interviewer will as well calculate the quantity of people who have come to vote.

As, according to the Russian legislation, it is forbidden to make the results of surveys like this public until 21:00, the company that requested this research (the First channel) will manifest its results after 21:00 on March, 2nd this year. From this time on the exit poll results will also be available at VCIOM’s Internet page:
