MOSCOW, November 23, 2007 Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents information concerning how Russians evaluate "Putin's plan" and where they consider its main goals to be.

The majority of respondents (78%) think that Russia should develop according to a unified plan. 8% of respondents disagree with this point of view. The idea of this unified plan is more popular with the LDPR supporters (89%) than with among the respondents intended to vote for "Unified Russia" (82%), KPRF (78%) or "Fair Russia" (77%).

The degree of awareness that Russians possess in relation to "Putin's plan" is steadily growing: the share of respondents who consider themselves to be well informed of the plan has increased from 4% to 12% within less than two months, whereas the share of those who have heard something about the plan has grown from 22% to 47%. The number of respondents who have not heard anything about it has reduced from 65% to 35%. The level of awareness of the issue is higher in Moscow and St. Petersburg (72%) than in other cities or villages of the country (55-61%).

The share of respondents who consider themselves to be informed of the "Putin's plan" but find it difficult to name what it consists in has reduced within this week (from 48% to 43%). According the respondents' estimations, the priorities that the "Putin's plan" attempts to bring into life are an increase in the nation's welfare, social development (18%); Russia's revival and improvement (13%); economic development (9%).

Among the respondents aware of "Putin's plan", every second one (51%) wishes to learn more about it, whereas 38% mention that they possess enough information on the issue. The desire to learn more is more characteristic of the LDPR and "Unified Russia" voters rather than for those supporting KPRF or even less so for those in favour of "Fair Russia" (57%, 54%, 50% and 43% respectively).

The initiative all-Russia opinion poll was conducted by VCIOM on November 17-18, 2007. 1600 respondents were interviewed in 153 population areas of 46 regions of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.
