TOP THREE PEOPLE OF THE YEAR 2011: PUTIN, ARSHAVIN AND BEZRUKOV

As before, Vladimir Putin has been rated the first among politicians, A.Arshavin – the first among sportsmen, and S.Bezrukov - the first among actors.

As before, Vladimir Putin has been rated the first among politicians, A.Arshavin – the first among sportsmen, and S.Bezrukov - the first among actors.

MOSCOW, January 10, 2012. Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents the data devoted to the most popular people, television programs, serials and movies of the year 2011.

The politician of the year 2011, as before, has become Vladimir Putin (38%), followed by Dmitry Medvedev on the second place (19%). They are followed by V.Zhirinovsky (8%), G.Zyuganov (7% versus 2% two years ago), S.Smirnov (5%) and a newcomer – M.Prokhorov (5%). Least popular politicians are G.Yavlinsky, A.Kudrin i S.Sobyanin (1% for each).

A.Arshavin has become the best sportsman for the fourth time, despite a slight decline (from 11 to 5%). The second position is held by a newcomer F.Emelianenko (4%), O.Zaitseva and N.Valuev (4% for each). They are followed by E.Plyushenko, A.Povetkin (2%), A.Kabaeva, E.Isinbaeva, Klichko brothers, V.Lebedev, A.Ovechkin, A.Yagudin, I.Slutskaya (1% for each).

As before, the best actor is S.Bezrukov (9%). He is followed by M.Averin and E.Mironov (4% for each), then E.Boyarskaya, M.Porechenkov, K.Khabenskiy (2%), M.Aleksandrova, F.Bondarchuk, L.Gurchenko, F.Dobronravov, L.Durov, D.Dyuzhev, M.Efremov, A.Kovalchuk, O.Menshikov, V.Mashkov, A.Mikhailov, N.Mikhalkov, E.Yakovleva, M.Basharov, I.Urgant, Ch.Khamatova, I.Okhlobistin (1% for each).

According to Russians, the most popular writers have been B.Akunin and D.Dontsova; they have been leaders of the recent two years (3% for each). The second position is held by T.Ustinova (2%), A.Marinina, V.Pelevin, M.Veller, M.Zadornov (1% for each).

F.Kirkorov has become the best performer for the second time (11% versus 8% a year ago). Top three performers also involves N.Baskov and S.Mikhailov (8% for each). They are followed by A.Pugacheva (4%), D.Bilan, E.Vaenga, G.Leps, D.Khovorostovskiy (3% for each). Valeriya, S.Rotaru, Yu.Shevchuk and I.Krutoy have 2% (each). The least popular musical performers are N.Babkina, V.Brezhneva, N.Kadysheva, K.Kinchev, I.Kobzon, S.Lazarev, L.Leschenko, A.Makarevich, V.Meladze, A.Netrebko, K.Orbakaite, Nyusha, A.Rozenbaum, D.Matsev, V.Spivakov (1% for each).

For the third year in a row the TV talk show “Pust Govoryat” has become the best one (16%), followed by “Novosti” on the second place (7%). They are followed by “Davay pozhenimsya” and “Zhdi menya” (4% for each), “Pole chudes” (3%), “Vremya” , “Zhit zdorovo”, “ZhKKh”, “Comedy Club”, “NTVshniki”, “Pryamoy efir”, “Chelover i zakon” (2% for each), “ProjectorParisHilton”, “Chrezvychainoe proishestvie”, “Shto? Gde? Kogda?”, “Zdorovie”, “100 k 1”, “6 kadrov”, “Bitva ekstrasensov”, “Bolshaya raznitsa”, “Bolshie gonki”, “Govorim i pokazivaem”, “Dom – 2”, KVN, “Kontrolnaya zakupka”, “Programma maksimum”, “Modniy prigovor”, “Nasha Russia”, “O samom glavnom”, “Otkritaya studiya”, “Poslednee slovo”, “Svoya igra”, “Sreda obitaniya”, “Subbotniy vecher” (1% per each).

“Svaty” series are recognized to be the best TV series of the year (12%), followed by the leader of the previous year “Glukhar” on the second place – (8%). They are followed by “Interny”, “Univer” (4% for each), “Efrosinia”, “Obruchalnoe koltso” (2% for each), “Voroniny”, “Vse k luchshemu”, “Dikiy, “Zhizn i priklyucheniya Mishki Yaponchika”, “Zdravstvui, mama”, “Realnie patsany”, “Tayny sledstviya” (2% fore each). The least popular TV series are “Kamenskaya”, “Likvidatsiya”, “Morskie diavoly”, “Papiny dochki”, “Sled”, “Schastlivy vmeste”, “Utomlennye solntsem”, “Shaman” (1% for each).

“Vysotskiy. Spasibo, shto zhivoy” has become the movie of the year (9%), followed by the leader of the previous year The Avatar– (3%) and “Utomlennye solntsem-2” on the second place (3%). The third position is held by “Elki” (2%), followed by “Admiral”, “Albanets”, “Boy s teniyu”, “Ironiya sudby”, “The Twilight”, “Tsitadel” and other movies (1% for each).

The initiative Russian opinion polls were conducted December 24-25, 2011. 1600 respondents were interviewed at 138 sampling points in 46 regions of Russia. The margin of error does not exceed 3.4 %.
