MOSCOW, September 25, 2007 Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents information concerning who from the previous Cabinet of Ministers Russians would like to see in the new government and who they would not.
S. Shoigu leads in the rating of ministers, who, according to the Russians, should continue working at their positions: 81% of respondents assume that he is worth occupying this post. S. Ivanov (73%) and D. Medvedev have the second and third places in the rating respectively, whereas S. Lavrov ranks number four (53%). Less than half of respondents speak in favor of the remaining ministers of M. Fradkov's governments.
The rating of ministers, which, according to the public opinion, should leave their positions, is topped by M. Zurabov; two thirds of Russians (64%) think that he should resign. The two next in this negative rating are H. Gref (36%) and A. Fursenko (33%), who stay far behind as far as the percentage of negative vote is concerned.
The Finance Minister A. Kudrin turned out to be the most dubious person in the composition of government: 34% assume that he should occupy his position further on, whereas a little fewer respondents (30%) want him to resign.
The All-Russia opinion poll was conducted by VCIOM on September 22-23, 2007. 1510 respondents were interviewed in 153 population areas of 46 regions of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%
