MOSCOW, November 19, 2009. Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents the approval rating of government institutions and confidence level in politicians in November.
The President Approval rating made up 70-71% during the first fortnight of November. According to the previous autumn months this figure has been the same (73% in September and October). The jump was recorded in July this year, when the approval level of Dmitry Medvedev grew from 71 to 77%.
The public confidence level in Dmitry Medvedev made up 43-45%. There were no fluctuations during the autumn: this figure was 45% in September and 44% in October.
The rating of the prime minister approval made up 73% in the first half of November. The fluctuations have been within the statistical error during the autumn (76% in September, 75% in October). The increase in the public approval of Vladimir Putin's activity was recorded at the same time as the jump in Medvedev`s approval - July-August this year (there was an increase from 74 to 80%).
The confidence level of Putin reached 54-55% in the first half of November. This figure has been almost stable during the autumn: 55% in September and 54% in October.
The level of Government approval made up 50%. Compared with October, this figure has slightly dropped (from 54%). The most significant fluctuations of this figure this year were recorded in July-September: thus, the approval rating was 51%, followed by 59% in August, and dropped to 53% in September.
The approval rating of the State Duma was 34-35% in the first half of November. The rating was growing from March till July from 31 to 39%, then followed by the decrease. The approval rating of the Federation Council made up 36% in the first fortnight of November. This figure has been stable during the autumn (36%). The public approval was growing during the summer from 31 to 39%, followed by a decrease.
The electoral rating of the "United Russia" party was 52-53% in the first fortnight of November. The fluctuations were insignificant during the autumn; 55% in September, 56% in October. With regard to other parties, the approval level of CPRF party made up 8-9%, LDPR - 4-5%, Fair Russia - 4-5%.
The initiative Russian opinion polls were conducted on November 14-15, 2009. 1600 respondents were interviewed at 140 sampling points in 42 regions of Russia. The margin oferror does not exceed 3.4 %.
