MOSCOW, November 15, 2007 Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents information concerning how well Russians are informed of the "Putin's plan" and how they characterize it.

Half of Russians are more or less informed of "Putin's plan". 9% of them consider themselves to be well informed, and 41% have heard something about it but do not know the details. The share of respondents aware of "Putin's plan" has increased twofold within the last month and a half (from 26% to 50%). The supporters of "Unified Russia" and "Fair Russia" (56-57%) are better informed of "Putin's plan" than respondents who are intended to vote for KPRF (51%) or still less than LDPR supporters (45%).

The respondents are still more inclined to believe that the essense of "Putin's plan" lies in increasing the people's welfare (20% of respondents think so, whereas 14% did two weeks ago). Moreover, respondents assume that the plan aims at Russia's revival and improvement (11%), developing the economy (9%), an increase in Russia's international prestige (7%), Continueing with the course that has been already started (5%), etc.

32% of respondents assume that Putin has had a clear plan from the very beginning. The share of respondents who adhere to this point of view has decreased in the course of the last month and a half from 42% to 32%. This mainly happened due to an increase in the share of those who find it hard to provide an estimation as far as this issue is concerned (this has grown from 11% to 19%). Another Another 42% suppose that the plan appeared a little after the start of Putin's presidency. 37% of "Unified Russia" supporters believe that V. Putin has had a "plan" from the very start of his presidency. The voters of KPRF, LDPR and "Fair Russia" are more likely to think that V. Putin has been forming his plan gradually.

The initiative all-Russia opinion poll was conducted by VCIOM on November 9-10, 2007. 1600 respondents were interviewed in 153 population areas of 46 regions of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3.4%.
