MOSCOW, February 22, 2008 Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents a forecast of the voter turn out and the results of the presidential election that are to take place on March 2 this year.83.6% of respondents stated that they will probably participate in the elections (cf.: 71% of respondents spoke of their willingness to vote in the parliamentary elections in October 2007, 5 weeks before the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation). 11.2% are not going to vote in the elections of President of the Russian Federation. According to the forecast, calculated by VCIOM experts, the probable voter turn out at the elections on March 2 accounts for 69.7%.As far as the election results are concerned, VCIOM expects the following to happen: 72.9% of voters will give their vote to Dmitry Medvedev, 15.0% will vote for Gennady Zyuganov, 10.9% for Vladimir Zhirinovsky and 1.1% for Andrey Bogdanov.
