Russian men like beauty, kindness and intellect in women.
MOSCOW, March 7, 2013. Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents the data concerning the traits that Russian men most appreciate in Russian women.
Physical appearance and beauty is what Russian men most prize in Russian women (37% of men). This is followed by kindness and responsiveness (24%), followed by intellect and education (14%). The shares of those who appreciate femininity, fidelity, and decency are 10% (per each group). Russian men also think it is important for women to have inner world and to be honest (8%, per each), to have cheery and open character (6%), to be attentive and caring, mysterious and reliable (5%, for each). For 4% the most important female traits are tenderness; for 3% - tidiness, ability to be a good mother, to be modest; for 2% - to have capacity to work and wisdom. Least important things that Russian men put attention to are the absence of bad habits, politeness, responsibility and generosity (1%, for each).
The younger the men are, the more important for them beauty is: 18% of elderly respondents versus 59% of young respondents. On the contrary, the older the respondents are, the more important for them kindness is (17% among young respondents and 31% among elderly respondents).
The initiative Russian opinion polls were conducted on February 9-10, 2013. 731 men were interviewed at 138 sampling points in 46 regions of Russia. The margin of error does not exceed 5.1%.
