MOSCOW, September 7, 2009. Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) presents the data about the most attractive companies/employers for Russians.
As before, Russians are willing to work for Gazprom (33% report so). The second place in the employer rating is held by Rosneft (23%) followed by Sberbank (19%). Fourteen percent (for each) prefer working for the Russian Railways or Lukoil Oil Company, and 9% - for the Unified Energy System of Russia. Such companies as Vneshtorg bank, Norilsk Nickel and Aeroflot (6% for each) hold the lower positions in the rating. Rarer Russians would like to work for Beeline (VimpelCom), Rosgosstrakh, AvtoVAZ (4% for each), MTS (3%), Wimm-Bill-Dann, Rusal (2% for each), and EvrazHolding (1%). 21% were undecided.
The popularity of several Russian companies/employers has increased over the recent two years. Now it is more attractive to be hired by Gazprom (33% versus 25% in 2007), RosNeft (23% versus 14% respectively), Sberbank 19% versus 15% respectively), and Russian Railways (14% versus 9% respectively). At the same time, Russians show more certainty on the employment issue: the amount of the undecided respondents has declined from 39% to 21%.
The initiative Russian opinion polls were conducted on June 20-21, 2009.
1600 respondents were interviewed at 140 sampling points in 42 regions of Russia.
The margin of error does not exceed 3.4%.
