Awards Ceremony at Higher School of Economics. Day one.
On June 27, the Awards Ceremony for VCIOM’s Student Research Competition took place at National Research University – Higher School of Economics.
Prizes and awards were given by VCIOM’S General Director Valery Fedorov.  He emphasizes that this is the third time the competition takes place; the event helps to assess the level of skills of young experts in Russia. This year, 40 universities from 26 cities took part in the competition. More than 30 professionals from the leading research companies and higher education institutions had to rate the woks of students. The first place was taken by Anastasia Legoshina with her study “Mother’s attitude towards a child among female prisoners”; the second place was given to Oxana Motasova for her “YouTube video blogging phenomenon and its impact on the young audience”; and the third place was taken by Anastasiya Rogatyuk with her “Relationship between particular indicators of social and economic status and overweight among Russian adult population”. The finalists are Natalia Isayeva (“Life success viewed by youth”), Natalia Shestoperova (“Revealing the relationship between the integral and specific characteristics of the Russian police based on the ESS data”).
The winners received money reward, certificates and an opportunity to have an internship at VCIOM. The competition finalists can also undertake an internship.
