VI session of the Sociological School has come to an end
February 12, 2017. VI Winter Session of the Sociological School organized by the VCIOM Foundation and   Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (RANEPA) has come to an end.
Participants involved students, post-graduate students, young researchers from 10 Russian cities and Belarus. A total of 20 persons who showed their excellent knowledge, strong motivation, readiness to get practical skills and leadership capacity were selected out of 170 applications.
During the session the participants elaborated and presented their projects to the jury that involved School lecturers and guests; the projects contained proposals to carry out sociological surveys and were devoted to an analysis of the Russian shady employment, citizens’ interactions with police, creation of the situation room to monitor protest moods in social media as well as an analysis of online and offline activities.
The winner project was “Shift in political activity from “online” to “offline” prepared by the team of students involving Alsu Garaeva (Kazan), Svetlana Balitskaya (Arkhangelsk), Svetlana Kuznetsova (Yekaterinburg), Yulia Melnitskaya (Khabarovsk), Anastasiya Kucherova (Moscow), and Valery Shevchenko (Togliatti).
The School participants were invited to take part in the events dedicated to the VCIOM 30th anniversary and to participate in the project work.
