The VCIOM experts took part in the annual conference of the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR) that took place on September 15-17, for the first time in Russia. This conference brings together experts dealing with data collection methods and problems of sample design, those who use this data and researchers who are focused on social theory issues.
On the first day of the conference Olga Kamenchuk, Director on International Affairs, presented a report devoted to the trends in modern Russia, such as preparation for the State Duma elections under Western sanctions and public perceptions of economic situation and its influence on voting choices.
On the second day of the conference Anna Kuleshova, Managing Editor of the “Monitoring of Public Opinion: Economic and Social Changes” magazine, will make a report about the opportunities of international experience sharing, cooperation in the development and application of innovative practices.
On the final day of the conference Yulia Baskakova, Head of Research projects, will present the combination survey technique as part of the VCIOM’s “Express” weekly project.
