June 24 - Valery Fedorov took part in the ceremonial handing of diplomas to the first graduates of MGIMO's (Moscow State Institute of International Relations)department of International Journalism.

June 23 - Valery Fedorov took part in a meeting of experts: "Russia-Kyrgyzstan: Dialogue in a New Time."

June 8-9 -a series of meeting were held in Irkutsk on the topicof "Media as an Institution of Civil Society: Media's Relationship with the Authorities, and the Rights and Responsibilities of a Journalist". The event was organized by the Russian Public Chamber'sCommission for Communications, Information Policy, and Freedom of Speech in Mass Media.

June 9 - A press conference was held on the issue of state participation in economic and financial sectors during and after the global financial crisis.

June 4 - A meeting of VCIOM's Expert Council convened to discuss "The New Behavior of Media Viewers in Russia," with O. Kozhevnikova (О.Кожевникова), Head of Business Research for VCIOMas the main speaker.

June 4 - Stepan Lvov (Степан Львов) held a master class, "Measurements of the Social Potential of the Region", during the 10th International Scientific-Pedagogical Social Congress. The conference, held on the topic of "Innovative Strategy for Development of Social Education", was held at the Russian State Social University (Российский Государственный Социальный Университет).

June 1 - Valery Fedorov (Валерий Федоров) took part in the conference "Strategy 2010: The Results of Implementation and New Challenges", organized by the Moscow Center for Strategic Development and the Institute for the Economy in Transition.

May 27 - Dr. Olga Kamenchuk (Ольга Каменчук) spoke on the "Socio-Economic Characteristics of the Rural Real Estate Buyer" as part of aconference for real-estate investors organized by ZEMER Communication Group and MEDIA RIDER.

May 25 - Valery Fedorov (Валерий Федоров)participated in the seminar "The Political Modernization of Russia: Senarios for the21st Century" organized in Nizhny Novgorod by the "Mediakratiya" (Media-cracy) project for the journalists of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Chuvashiaand Mordovia.

21-22 May - Olga Kamenchuk gave a presentation on "The Concept of Political Trust: Scenarios from Modern Russia" while attending the "The Phenomenon of Social Engineering: Experiences and the Reconstruction of the Future"conference in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The conference was organized by the President of Kazakhstan, the Association of Sociologists of Kazakhstan, and the Kazakh National University, Al-Farabi.

May 17 - Konstantin Abramov took part in a regular meeting of the Public Council at the police department in Moscow.

Sophia, 30 April-1 May - Tatyana Voylokova (Татьяна Войлокова), Head of Research Processes at VCIOM, participated in Intersearch's International Sociological Conference. A number of research companies fromboth Eastern and Western Europe attended the event, discussed trends in the international sociological and marketing research fields, and presented a number of innovative projects.

Moscow-Kiev, April 29 - RIA-Novosti held a conference and video-bridge on the topic: "History Pages In the History of the Second World War; Collaboration: Causes and Consequences." The event was attended by academics from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, USA, UK, Latvia, Belarus, Moldova, and Norway. Olga Kamenchuk (Ольга Каменчук) presented to her colleagues the results of a new large-scale study VCIOM conducted on the eve of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.

April 22 - Thefinancial news agency PRIME-TASS (ПРАЙМ-ТАСС) held a joint press conference with Director of Communications at the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM), Olga Kamenchuk, and Deputy Director General of the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), Andrei Melnikov.

On the 15th of March ceremonial presentation of VCIOM scholarships to the beginning sociologists participating in the contest of scientific works among students of  Russian State University for the Humanities, Russian State Social University, Higher School of Economics and regional institutions on the topic of ‘Problem spots of the Russian society: analysis of situation and ways of solution' was held.
